EIM and Physical Therapy Central Join Forces
Posted: 9/3/2010

Louisville, KY - (September  3, 2010) – Evidence In Motion (EIM), a provider of physical therapy education and practice consultation, is excited to announce an official partnership with Physical Therapy Central, a progressive provider of rehabilitation serving the Oklahoma community.  As part of the collaboration, Physical Therapy Central becomes a Network Partner for Evidence in Motion’s Orthopedic Residency, Sports Physical Therapy Residency, and Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy Fellowship training programs.

“EIM is pleased to team up with Physical Therapy Central and we are excited to collaborate to fulfill their educational needs.  We are confident that this venture will provide Physical Therapy Central with a very valuable and lasting experience,” comments George Burkley, CEO of Evidence In Motion.

Several of the offerings included in the Residency and Fellowship curricula will also be made available to other Physical Therapy Central professional staff, enhancing lifelong learning and quality improvement initiatives for all personnel. EIM residents and fellows will be exposed to a vast community of evidence-based professionals and trained to apply the best evidence for patient care.

“I am very excited about our partnership with EIM”, says Elizabeth Evans, Physical Therapy Central physical therapist.  “This is going to give us a unique opportunity to collaborate with the individuals of EIM to keep up with the latest evidence in order to provide quality and effective care.  This will also allow us to grow together, bounce ideas off each other and form a very effective physical therapy team.  I can't wait to get started!”

Using the most up to date research and cutting-edge technology, EIM is transforming the way physical therapists are trained and educated, allowing professionals to complete the majority of the coursework online.  EIM’s Orthopaedic Residency, Sports Physical Therapy Residency, and Orthopaedic Manual Fellowship training programs are delivered to the physical therapists where they live and work.  Web-based educational “distance learning” platforms, complimented by on-site weekend intensives conducted at Network Partner locations, and a thorough mentoring program provide a flexible learning experience for all students.

Many members of EIM’s faculty are recognized internationally for their contributions to education, research, and clinical practice. Under their supervision, residents and fellows have the opportunity to receive the highest caliber of training and become distinguished leaders in evidence-based orthopaedic and manual physical therapy practice.

Evidence In Motion’s Residents and Fellows Aid Children’s Education Evidence In Motion’s Residents and Fellows Aid Children’s Education
Posted: 11/4/2009

Louisville, KY (October 29, 2009) – Evidence In Motion (EIM) is proud to announce a new partnership with Neighborhood Engagement to benefit students of all ages.  For each new student who enrolls in EIM’s Residency or Fellowship program, EIM will donate $25 to Neighborhood Engagement to further their work in oppressed Haiti. EIM is an education and consultation company working to elevate the practice of physical therapy.   Neighborhood Engagement is a Christian organization searching for self-sustaining solutions through collaborative partnerships that satisfy needs of oppression.  The collaboration between these organizations will bring much needed aid to a country that was devastated by hurricanes in 2008.

Haiti was hit by four major hurricanes during 2008 and help is needed in a variety of ways to restore communities.  EIM has agreed to aid in supplying necessary funds to children who need it to continue their education.  Together, Neighborhood Engagement and EIM will donate these funds to schools in Haiti.

For every student enrolled in EIM’s Residency and Fellowship programs, EIM will donate $25 to Neighborhood Engagement. These funds will go directly towards helping schools in Haiti become self-sufficient and fully functional.  Through joining the two values of superior physical therapy education and stewardship to the community, EIM and their students will help to restore the lives of children throughout Haiti.

Neighborhood Engagement is dedicated to satisfying the needs of oppression. Supporting the children, the future of the communities in Haiti, is one of the best ways to do just that. Their teams work to serve these communities by learning through cultural immersion and responding to their needs.
